EDUCATION:

New Tampa is a community where education is given the highest priority. Gifted programs are available at all grade levels and college advanced placement courses are offered at the high school level. The Hillsborough County School District leads the state in Florida’s Academic Scholars and Florida’s Under graduate Fund Schol- ars. The strong academic program is enhanced by equally comprehensive extra curricular activities in athletics, music, student government and special interest clubs. SHOPPING:

New Tampa is close to all types of shopping, from quaint antique and specialty boutiques to modern malls. Specialty stores are located off of Bruce B. Downs and the two nearest shopping Malls are; The University Mall, 10 minutes away off of Fowler. The Brandon Town Center, 20 minutes away is located off of I-75.

RECREATION:

Several private country clubs are nearby, including Tampa Palms, Hunter’s Green, Avail and Temple Terrace. Challenging public golf courses, including Pebble Creek, University of South Florida, Saddlebrook and Lake Bernadette. Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, The Lowery Park Zoo and The Florida Aquarium are all within 20 minutes. For an endless source of family entertainment, Orlando with Disney World, Epcot, Universal Studios, Seaworld, Animal Kingdom, MGM Studios and more is only one hour away.
